Defeat for Tottenham at Goodison Park on the weekend was the Postecoglou's third consecutive Premier League defeat and leaves them with just one win from their last 10 matches in the league.

The north London side have picked up just four points from their last nine league games, which have consisted of seven defeats, including five in their last six, which has seen the club drop down to 15th in the Premier League table.

Following the weekend's results, Tottenham are now closer to the relegation zone (eight points clear) than they are to the top half of the Premier League table (nine points away) - a huge drop off from their fifth placed finish last season.

What may be keeping the Australian in the job for the time being is there strong positions in the cup competitions, with Spurs taking a 1-0 first leg lead to Anfield in the semi final of the EFL Cup, whilst also sitting in a seemingly comfortable place in the Europa League.

Spurs are currently joint favourites to win the Europa League along with Manchester United, with the side from the capital currently ninth in the league phase standings but with Hoffenheim and Elfsborg still to play.

The German side are currently in the midst of a relegation battle in the Bundesliga, three points clear of the bottom three with only one win in their last 10 matches in all competitions, while Elfsborg have recently finished seventh in the Swedish league.
