Arsenal made Champions League knockout history as they all but guaranteed their spot in the quarter-finals with a 7-1 win away at PSV.
The Gunners scored seven goals in Europe’s premier competition for just the second time in their history - and in doing so, became the first away team ever to do so during the knockout stages.
The remarkable haul came after Mikel Arteta's side had not scored in their previous two Premier League outings against West Ham and Nottingham Forest.
Arsenal were 3-0 up after just 31 minutes following goals from Jurrien Timber, Ethan Nwaneri and Mikel Merino.
Noa Lang pulled one back from the penalty spot before the break, but two goals within three minutes of the restart had the hosts in complete control.
Martin Odegaard brought up his second of the match and Arsenal’s sixth in the 73rd minute before substitute Riccardo Calafiori sealed the stunning rout 12 minutes later.

Rooney: 'Arsenal deserved sixth and seventh for the desire'
More from Wayne Rooney on Amazon Prime: "Once Arsenal went to five goals it is easy to take the foot off the gas at that point and see the game out.
"But they kept going and tried to score more goals.
"They deserved the sixth and the seventh goals because of the application and the desire they showed."

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta speaking on Prime Video: "So happy for the boys because in the last two games, we haven't scored a goal and we know the noise around that."
On taking off Myles Lewis-Skelly when he was on a yellow card and could have been sent off: "I haven't seen the second action but you are 2-0 up away from home and I didn't want to risk it. He is very young so we have to protect him."
On PSV's penalty: "Momentum can shift and this is a team that is very used to winning. They have the capacity to generate chances in a lot of moments. You don't want to put yourself in the position where they score a second one and it is game on."
Credit: Getty On whether this performance was coming: "No, but this is the beauty of football. Focus on what you are doing and do your best. Anything can happen."
"It's a massive result away from home in a competition that we love, that we miss for so many years. Today is a really special night for us."
On Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly: "To be doing what they are doing at 17 and 18 years old, shows incredible maturity. They are doing that because of how the other players support them and make them better. They have a lot of courage. Myles makes an assist, that's the team that I want to see, they take initiative and they want to make things happen."
PSV manager: 'We had no chance'
Now time to listen to those quotes Wayne Rooney was discussing...
PSV boss Peter Bosz speaking to Amazon:"Terrible night for us.
"No chance. Maybe two moments in the game - our first chance after 15 minutes when we hit the bar and the second yellow were moments to come back in the game. Football wise we had no chance. We were not in our best form. Arsenal played fantastic, we had no chance tonight."
What does he put it down to - the manager or players? "Probably both. Poor from our side, absolutely. Not at all our football we play normally and Arsenal did really well.
"We had a plan we analysed them we thought that we could hurt them somewhere but if you look at how we defended, really poor. You can not be successful if you play this way.
"I can not imagine that I would ever lose this big so the players were disappointed. For us it's important in a couple of days to return to championship [Eredevisie]. We will analyse this game and help the players, if you lose this big you need to help them.
"We have to accept it but it's hard.
"We have to do it quick because only 10 games to play so we need men now."

Former Man United striker Wayne Rooney on Prime Video Sport: "I thought PSV's defending was woeful tonight.
"I'm not trying to take anything at all away from Arsenal, but the defending was not very good at all.
"Mikel Arteta now has the opportunity to go for it on Sunday because he can now rest players in midweek.
"He won't say it but this tie is over. So Arsenal can go full throttle on Sunday."
Rooney added: "It is very difficult as a manager to come out and face the media after a bad result like this one. I've been there
"I'm sure in the build up to the game Peter Bosz had done the tactical work and thought he had found the right way how to play against Arsenal. Arsenal were just far too superior.
"He deserves a lot of credit for coming out and facing the questions."

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to Amazon Prime Sport: "For sure.
"We talk about boxes in the Champions League, how important they are. Today is one of the great examples of that.
"So happy for the boys, the last two games we haven't scored a goal and there's all the noise around it. The goals that we put tonight were very impressive."

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard speaking to Amazon Prime Sport: "Unbelievable. They have been here for many years already. So much quality and confidence. They're really ready about it.
"They put on a performance like this and we have to enjoy it.
"Lewis-Skelly took that [substitution] really well. He knew it was tricky, when you're on a yellow and a tough challenge there. He took that well and we will help him. He will learn from that as well."

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard speaking to Amazon Prime Sport: "Especially after the last few games, we needed a performance like this. It was brilliant from the start until the end. Really good going forwards, attacking the box with chances and goals. Unfortunately, we conceded one goal.
"Not too much. We work hard every day to improve. Especially after the performances like the West Ham one and the last one, we wanted to do better. A lot of work around the box and finishing, but we always work hard and try to do our best. Today it clicked.
"We had a little extra focus on finishing after the last few games. We know we have the quality, we have done it so many times. Doing it at this level, it's really fun to play. We know we have that level so it was good to get everything out there."
Credit: Getty Jur kidding
Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber speaking to Amazon Prime: "Massive performance from the team.
"I'm proud of the guys, we have shown today in the Champions League again that we are capable of a lot and put ourselves in a good position for next week.
"Let's finish it, then we'll see."
On his goal: "Amazing cross, good header. Nice to open the score. I had to win here, rivals of Ajax so I had to win here."
On trip to Madrid in quarter-final: "We put ourselves in a good position for next week. We get it done there and we'll see."
Ethan you're the Nwan
More from Declan Rice on Ethan Nwaneri: "Top. He's 17-years-old and he's on the biggest stage. It's crazy!
We see him every day. All of the lads have taken him under our wing, the same with Myles. You should see them train, they have no fear and the way they want to perform.
"Even if [Bukayo] Saka was here Ethan would be still getting minutes in and around the team because he's that good and works so hard in training. Same with Myles despite having to come off for the yellow card tonight, we have two youngsters and plenty more are coming through."
Rice: We've been playing like this all season!
Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice to Amazon Prime Sport: "We were fluid, we had enthusiasm. We had the drive and hunger, it's the knockout rounds of the Champions League.
"But we have playing like this all season. We spoke about a narrative but we players feel like we've been doing well. Sometimes we score five or six, sometimes we score two or three, sometimes we can lose by one.
"That's where we need to keep pushing as a team with the mentality. Tonight we did that.
"When they came back to make it 3-1, we could have sat back. But we pushed on and you saw that with the goals we scored in the second half. A massive performance.

The Gunners scored seven goals in Europe’s premier competition for just the second time in their history as Mikel Arteta’s men all-but secured their place in the quarter-finals.
Having not scored in their previous outings against West Ham and Nottingham Forest, there was fear from fans that their season was beginning to unravel.
While the Premier League title is seemingly out of reach with Liverpool 13 points clear, Arsenal showed at the Philips Stadion they mean business in Europe.

The left-back scoring from the right-wing just about sums up the type of night Arsenal have enjoyed tonight.
Calafiori is delightfully picked out by Odegaard's threaded-through ball but then shows why he was indeed a striker growing up.
He arrives onto the pass and his first-time shot on the swivel beats Benitez and sneaks inside the far post.

PSV fans have seen enough and are leaving in their droves but where has this killer instinct been in front of goal from the Gunners?!
Merino turns well and tees up captain Odegaard in the right half space to burst forwards and drive into the middle.
The Norwegian drops a shoulder to open up the angle for a shot and he fires straight at Benitez who flaps it into his own net.
Odegaard has scored as many non-penalty goals this evening as he managed in his previous 33 appearances in all competitions.
This is the first time Arsenal have scored 6 away from home in Europe since November 1993, beating Standard Liege 7-0 in the Cup Winners' Cup en route to winning the trophy

PSV 1-5 Arsenal
61' - GABRIEL GOES CLOSE!
Arsenal's set-piece man is predictably the intended target from the corner and the Brazilian rises highest to attack the delivery.
But his back post header is sent into the ground before bouncing behind - there's a scream of frustration from Gabriel afterwards!
PSV 1-5 Arsenal
59' - Nwaneri has another pop at goal from the edge of the area but it's headed behind for a corner.

PSV 1-5 Arsenal
55' - SO CLOSE to a special Nwaneri goal!
The Arsenal teenager is understandably playing full of confidence and he goes alone with a mazy run through the middle.
