Wigan Athletic announced on Sunday that they have parted company with boss Shaun Maloney.
Attention turns as to who they have in line to replace Maloney who had been at the DW Stadium since January 2023.

While Maloney only had a 36% win-rate for Wigan he came in at a time where relegation was imminent in the Championship in the 2022/23 season.
Despite relegation to League One they ended up in 12th place the following campaign and currently sit in and around mid-table again.
Despite firmly away from relegation and a play-off campaign, it's a decision that has left a few fans questioning the timing.
But instantly Ryan Lowe has been quick to become the heavy odds-on favourite to takeover at Wigan, who has been without a managerial position since August after being sacked by Preston.
Lowe has experience with Bury, Plymouth and Preston with the latter being his longest reign of nearly three years.
Lowe achieved consecutive mid-table finishes in the Championship with North End with a fairly consistent level of play, losing 47 but also winning 47 in his time with the Lancashire side.
